Error in Student Handbook - There is school this Friday!
PLEASE NOTE...There is an error in the Student Handbook which says that Teacher Convention is this Friday, October 2nd. That is INCORRECT! The date was changed for Teacher Convention to Friday, March 5, 2021. There will be school this Friday!
Orange Shirt Day - Wednesday, September 30th
Please join the staff at Glen Elm School in wearing orange on Wednesday, September 30th, to acknowledge, honour and support the survivors of the residential school system. This time of year is when Indigenous children were removed from their homes to attend residential schools that were set up by the Canadian Government and churches.
Thank You Rockbridge Alliance Church!
We would like to send out a BIG thank you to Rockbridge Alliance Church! Before the school year started, they reached out to us and asked how they could help support Glen Elm School students, especially during our new safety school regulations. The one area that came to mind was maybe some water bottles in case a student didn't have one or we needed some extras.
