Monday, November 19 Day 1

-The Cree words of the day this week are on the theme of Goose, in honour of Mr Ganes.  The Cree word of the day is Nis-ka.  That is the Cree word for Goose.  N-i-s-k-a.  The nis-ka is an important animal for both the Cree people and also Mr Ganes.

-Mr Schlenker, Ms Surkan, and the Grade 7/8 classes are at Agribition all day.  Have fun learn lots and watch your step!

-There is an SCC meeting this evening at 6:00pm.  Invite your family to join!

-Thursday is Dress as your Future Day.  Plan your outfit!

 

Tuesday, November 20 Day 2

-The Cree word of the day is No-se-nis-ka.  That is the Cree word for female goose.  N-o-s-e- n-i-s-k-a.  To be clear, No-se nis-ka is kind of like Mother Goose but without the fairy tales.

-There is Full Band today

-We welcome folks from the Kids on the Block Anti-Bullying project who will be making presentations in our Grade 3-6 classes this morning.

-Remember that Thursday is Dress as your Future Day.  Plan what you will wear!!

 

Wednesday, November 21 Day 3

-The Cree word of the day is Na-pe- nis-ka.  That is the Cree word for Male goose.  N-a-p-e- n-i-s-k-a. 

-Good luck to Ms Baran and our SRC representatives who are headed to Wilfrid Walker school today and tomorrow for the Red Cross Anti-Bullying training.

-Mme Berriault and the Grade 3/4 class are headed to Agribition today.  Have a great time and watch where you step!

-Welcome friends from the Regina Fire Services who are practicing Fire Safety with our K-4 students.  

-Remember that tomorrow is Dress as your Future Day.  Can’t wait to see what our students plan to become in a few years!

 

Thursday, November 22 Day 4

-The Cree word of the day is Nis-ki-khan.  That is the Cree word for goose decoy.  N-i-s-k-i-k-h-a-n.  Literally, Nis-ki-khan means fake goose. 

-Its Dress as your Future Day!  Can’t wait to see what our future looks like!

-Remember that there is no regular school tomorrow as we meet with families.
